Car fell on girlfriend’s car at apartment complex- renter’s or her auto insurance?

Located in MA, filed a claim with my (our) renter’s insurance policy but wondering if I should’ve instead went with her auto insurance, or talk to the leasing office and be connected with whatever insurance they carry for these situations. Her father owns a body shop so that is covered.
