Hi I'm enlisted in the military and I'm leaving for basic in a few days. I wanted to create a plan for myself to set myself up for life financially. I got a 4 year, 11x Infantry Recruit Contract with Opt 40. It said 50k a year and a 40k bonus. What should I do with the money after im out? (ik not to buy a new car lol)

Are you sure its 50k a year, like salary or salary with benefits? (If you do get the benefits like BAH if you are married and so on)
I forgot the rules with tsp but at least invest up to the matching % when you are eligible too. I forgot if it starta at 2 years or before that
