I got rear ended about 2 months ago and insurance has been a pain.
I got rear ended and at fault driver claims their new insurance policy “flew away” at the time of accident so they provide the officer with an old one. As the investigation goes on, my insurance investigates that the at fault drive does not have an active policy on their vehicle. I had to pay to get my own vehicle fixed as they had no way to charge the driver.
What does one do at this point ? They opened an investigation to see if I can possibly get reimbursed but I wasnt at fault so why was I responsible for anything. Any advice or help is appreciated 🥲
