I’ve been checking the sub all week to see if people would start posting about it, but nothing ever came so I guess I will.

Rivian is up 6% today off of an analyst upgrading to an $18 price target. Their investor day is this Thursday, which will likely see more analyst upgrades and possibly some big announcements on their partnership with NVIDIA.

Crucially, their stock spiked to over $25 last year in the week following their investor day when the stock was in a similar spot – beaten down to near all-time lows by negative sentiment that hadn’t yet caught up to positive indicators. Analyst upgrades in the following week spiked the price over 100%.

So anyway bet the house on $RIVN FDs.

    No one talking about Rivian?

    1. All I can say is that I’m seeing more of them on the road. So….. that’s good, right?

Update: My buy to open call order didn’t execute before the announcement. 😑

Rivian mad expensive + Tesla for competition doesn’t help, let’s see what the investor day brings

    3. Bought 5 $15 C lottos based off this, if it loses by Friday, you owe me a WHOLE $15 ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)

The rich school ($20k+ elementary in MCOL area) some family members have their kids at has a ton of Rivians in the parking lot. Tesla is for the poors. Rivian taking from richer clientele and legacy automakers taking from the average/poors from Tesla market. Rivian still too niche to invest in and they got a ways to go til 2026. Rivian is happy Enron went full regard with CT.

It’s a long term hold for me. I’m actually kinda pissed it’s up today, I had sold some shares to move things around and was waiting on a transfer to buy more in an IRA today. But it’ll come back down soon probably and I’ll get more, I don’t expect much of anything to happen this year. We’ll know a lot more about their future when they release Q4 earnings next year. If they aren’t making serious progress to profitability it’ll be a tough go. I think they will do it though. I like the CEO and he seems really solid.

I personally think they’re some of the best looking vehicles out there. I love everything about the design and the new models will bring them within reach of a much larger audience. The people who own them love them. 2026 will be a big year for them with the two smaller vehicles and I am very optimistic about their future.

    6. My former boss’s wife quit her job as the head of a small engineering firm, rolled over her entire retirement savings, all into Rivian stock, sometime in Spring of 2023.

SR, if you’re here on this sub, you can do better.

    7. It’s not stable… Rivian was up at this range a couple weeks ago and plummeted back to low 10’s just as quickly as it spiked up the low 12’s. It’ll be back down… there is no fundamental change for Rivian until January 2025 for Q4 earnings report. It’s where they demonstrate they will make a profit or not.

    8. I don’t like their financials tbh. They need to raise cash fast. If this was 2021 I’d be going full port, but the market doesn’t really have much of an appetite for speculative unprofitable companies 🤷‍♂️ especially EV. Good luck but I’m sitting this one out

Once they figure out how to sell a car for more than it costs them to make it, we’ll talk

I have been long RIVN since the IPO. Kept on picking up 100 shares as it slid down to about $8. Now the proud owner of 1400 shares. Hoping to ride it back up to $100/share in the next 5 years.

I put a pre-order $100 deposit down on an R2 ($45,000 starting price) a couple of months ago. Estimated delivery in 2026 Every Rivian owner I speak to in parking lots absolutely LOVE the car. I am due for a new car in 2028 so I have time to wait, and I hope car insurance costs drop by the time I plan on buying. I have solar on the house so I need to make the jump to an EV soon.

I have been steadily adding since about $9 with leaps to the end of the year with a strike price of $14 buckaroos. Once they unlock profitability they’re gonna give Tesla a run for their money.

    12. Well for the moment I sure do wish I bought some calls when I originally read this

Thanks Man! I was teetering with the same thoughts and saw your post and loaded up on 7/5 13.5c’s!

Dude! Your name should be Stock_Shark! Nice call. I read your post and created a buy order then remembered how I’ve been burned by Rivian about 3 other times and cancelled it. Literally. Only to have been burned a 4th time by not buying it.

You’re Welcome for me not buying it.

I’ve been holding 14,000 shares RIVN for about 2.5 months now. In one of the worst decisions of my life, I sold covered calls on all my shares yesterday morning at a strike price of $13. I fucked myself out of $60k in missed profit.

    18. GoTakeCoffee on

Bought some cheap $13Cs @ $0.06 at open today on the same catalysts. Hoping those contracts turn into at least a 5,000% gain in the morning ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4258)
