I got the CSR mainly for the $300 travel credit, but now that I have it, I'm wondering how deeply I should commit to Chase's system as the 50% point multiplier when redeemed through their travel website is a big plus, though potentially limiting.

I'm already well into AMEX's system: X3 plats, X1 Plat Schwab for the 10% cash back bonus, X1 Gold, and X1 Green. I use my AMEXs solely for cash back, but now with my first Chase card, I'm conflicted on how to proceed. Should I just use the CSR for the $300 credit? Or should I commit to Chase now? Chase's portal doesnt seem as good as AMEX's portal, but again, the 50% bonus is very good.

How should I used the Chase Sapphire Reserve when I’m already well into AMEX?

    1. Do you only want cash back? You mention travel once, but then the opposite for Amex.

None of those cards are good for cash back. If that’s your goal, you should have a different setup entirely.

    2. Chase trifecta is way better because chase rewards portal has easier redemption for 1.5x. If you use the chase freedom it’s 5x rotating category which means 7.5x redemption and the freedom unlimited is 1.5x everything which is 2.25 with the multiplier.
