The TLDR version is up till now courts would turn to federal regulators that could "interpret" current law however they wanted, essentially "making up laws". This is why, for example, the SEC can regulate crypto despite there being no clear-cut legislation. After this ruling, federal judges now have all the power, the regulators are cucked.

This feels like uncharted territory. Definitely going to have long lasting and far reaching implications for markets. Our entire legal system just changed overnight.

Smells bullish to me. Less regulation means more innovation. It also means your breakfast cereal will probably give you cancer. Exciting times ahead.

Expect to see more headlines like this one πŸ‘‡

    1. I don’t give a hoot let’s pollute we can tie up shut in court till we are rich and dead and so is everyone

      Short term maybe bullish.

Long term, you’ll probably find out your drinking water contained poisonous chemicals that were never explicitly made illegal to dump in or around your water supply. Hopefully the gains you made along the way can afford your medical bills so you can at least spend your remaining time comfortably before dying at 50.

The better news is that the SCOTUS also made it legal to bribe government officials a couple days ago, so the company can avoid lawsuits which is VERY bullish.

    3. Pretty phenomenal irony in that headline. You can’t really make bullish or bearish predictions from this decision though. It will come down to the individual court cases, of which there will now be thousands.

    4. ObservantWon on

It may mean more regulation. We know the government agencies are just loaded with former executives from these corporations, so they just rubber stamp most stuff they want. Influencing thousands of judges around the country might be a lot more difficult.

    5. My advice, Find Saul Goodman IRL. He knows how to get things done. You wanna sue a fortune company because the stock isnt going up and you dumped you $4500 life savings into it, You can do that FR On god. This is super bullshitish

    6. So the fishermen that brought this case forward should have to pay for federal observers to ride on their boats??
