uh we are at the Aspen ideas Festival where I spoke to billionaire investor Peter teal uh he made a lot of news here yesterday and one of the things I asked him about was his take on Nvidia and whether the AI Giants can maintain its position as one of the most valuable companies I suspect Nvidia will um I I think I think it will um maintain its position for a while the you know I I think the game theory on it is something like um all the big tech companies are going to start to try to design their own AI chips so they they don’t have to do the 10x markup to Nvidia and then um then how hard is it for them to do it how long will it take um if they all do it then um then the chips become a commodity and nobody makes money in chips I also asked heal about Tik Tock given his uh early investment in Facebook and whether he thinks that Tik Tok is a national security threat we are incompetent and slow and bureaucratic and we will never get our act together in dealing with the problems of China until the day they inv Taiwan and then uh it will be shut down within 24 hours and um and since I think there’s a 50-50 chance that China will invade Taiwan in the next five years my advice the Tik Tok CEO was you should um take all your people and computers and get them out of China because um once once once Taiwan gets invaded it’ll be uh it’ll be too late so that’s that’s my advice but you don’t need to worry about us doing anything before then he’s putting a 50-50 chance on that by the way and Becky and Joe I know I had showed you a clip uh of uh Peter talking about Bitcoin earlier and we were looking actually for a different clip because he really made a market call that uh is very succinct and I want to show you that right now have you sold any of your Bitcoin uh I I still hold some I yeah I’ve you know there were all these ways I I I I didn’t buy as much as I should have um and uh I I I I I’m I’m Pro I I I’m not I’m I’m not sure it’s going to go up that dramatically from here from here that clip is even longer and hopefully maybe we’ll show you some of that you’re going to be able to find all this by the way uh online I’ll show I’m sure we’ll talk more about I’m I’m getting flat I I I had someone uh say this this person has to be fired uh one of the bit one of the holders because the other day I was saying yeah if you bought it at 8 I can’t imagine I’m AF I would be I’m afraid at $60,000 $60,000 is a lot this is when it was dropping and they say oh yeah you got to buy it here I think it was pomp was on that’s right pomp was on saying you got to buy it here you got to buy it here and it’s like well if you bought it at 860,000 is a lot of money to buy one Bitcoin but if you believe it’s going to like Tom Lee uh you should Tom Lee or Kathy Woods you you believe it keeps going
