Navy Hawaii TLA question

Has anyone filled out the housing searching form for there TLA certificates?

This is what the housing office gave me for guidance:

“Reasons my supervisor will NOT accept:

"Too Far" – Find a place near your work place

**"Too Expensive" – Stay within your BAH rate +15% to account for utilities

"Off the Market/Given to someone else" – Must be available to rent

"No garage/only 1 parking/street parking only" – As long as there IS parking within the vicinity, it's still acceptable

"Submitted application, waiting for approval" – The home IS suitable for you- please leave off the Search Form in the case that you sign a Lease

"No washer/dryer" – As long as there are hookups or a laundry area, this is still considered acceptable

"No AC" – Only if there's a non-working AC unit that the Landlord will not fix/replace

    VALID examples for unsuitability:

Mold issue, stained carpets, odor, out-dated/non-working applicances, no appliances, signs of roach/rodent infestation”

And the first TLA search form only required I list 5 properties (rentals) the next one requires (10).

My issue is that the rental market on oahu is straight up ridiculous. Most owners dont want to rent to people with pets. And were losing out to other renters. But thats not a valid excuse per the guidance we received.

I need more excuses/tips for my next form submission. If you have done this, your advice is appreciated.
