Boeing deserves a lot of scrutiny for sure especially on quality control given they don’t seem to care about safety anymore, but they don’t manufacture the engines on their planes nor are they responsible for maintenance on airlines’ planes so it’s odd that the manufacturer of the engine was never mentioned in the article nor the fact that delta is the one responsible for the maintenance.
