Hello. My apologies if this was solved and the answer is buried within.
I been getting conflicting info between dodbenefits, coworkers, and militarypay or …maybe I’m not entirely understanding.

I was recently demoted to E-5 from E-6 in the last 7 months of my service. As I understand, with new regs on High-3, my years as a E-6 will no longer count toward High-3 and instead as a E-5.

Having been in for 20 years, my pay as a SSgt will be capped in TIS. But according to the operator in dodbenefits, only the 7 months as a SSgt will count and not the TIS, but coworkers and High 3 say nothing on TIG but on service.

    Could someone help me understand?

High 3 doesn’t care about rank or time in grade. It’s your highest 36 months of pay.
