Hey gents, I'm graduating at the end of the year with a bachelor's degree and my contract in the navy reserves ends Jan 2025. I have 5 years of active duty service and 4 years of navy reserves. I'm looking into going officer right afterwards. I know I will get O1E over 4 pay since I have over 4 years of active duty service pay. How much would an O1E be earning in a place like San Diego?

Dfas has a calculator for that
Brother, it’s no secret. Pull up the pay table, find your yos and then Google your BAH. Here is the [pay table link](https://www.military.com/benefits/military-pay/charts)
5 years active duty and you’re unaware that googling “bah calculator” allows you to type in your zip code and click with or without dependents and it will tell you your BAH in that area?

On a serious note remember that BAS and BAH are tax free. I recommend looking at average bills and outflows for that area the gauge how much you will be giving to the communist state of CA. Is this your first time living off post? Will you be living off post?
