Hello all,
Full disclosure, I am not in the military yet.
I am looking to join the army, although I have not decided if I will go reserve or active duty. Idk if it makes a difference but I want to go 68W.
My question is, what do you do with your apartment while at BCT/AIT? Is the money you make during BCT enough to cover rent? If I end up going active duty it obviously doesn’t matter but if I do the reserves I don’t want to loose my apartment.
Also any advice for how to max out my time in the military finance wise is greatly appreciated. I am assuming the reserves don’t get benefits like active duty? I am in a bad circumstance at home and I’m looking to get myself into a stable place in life. Is there some overall general plan for how to max out the benefits in the military?
How can I set myself up for success?
