Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has warned oil prices could rise to “unimaginably high numbers” if Iran is not deterred, but noted he prefers a political solution over an armed conflict. He made the remarks in an interview aired on CBS News. This comes after two major Saudi oil sites were attacked earlier this month. Both the U.S. and Saudi Arabia have blamed Iran, despite Yemen’s Houthis claiming responsibility. The prince also said the U.S. should meet with Iran to make a new deal on Tehran’s nuclear program, and denied ordering the killing of journalist Jamal Khashougi.
