BA could potentially loose contracts with NASA, I would keep close eye on this and potentially buy puts.

"According to Safety and Mission Assurance officials at NASA and DCMA officials at Michoud, Boeing’s quality control issues are largely caused by its workforce having insufficient aerospace production experience," the report states. "The lack of a trained and qualified workforce increases the risk that the contractor will continue to manufacture parts and components that do not adhere to NASA requirements and industry standards."

May I be the first to say “Told you so, Boeing” diversity is not an actual strength.

Let me cut right to the important part:

      >NASA declines to penalize Boeing for the deficiencies.

      BA up 3.5%

    3. that is a huge facility in the new orleans area, and has a history of working on space hardware. looks like boeing managed to find a way to lose competency, jeez – that was not easy to do, but Boeing found a way.

Also not listening to an op that doesn’t know difference between loose and lose. JFC

Has there ever been a company that has put on such a stunning display of incompetence as Boeing has this last year?

My buddy is an aerospace engineer. His classes were so weighted that he passed them with a 66 overall.. he graduated and builds engines/missiles. Maybe standards should be kept high for these things. Just saying 🤷‍♂️

    8. I wonder if Boeing has the same issue as Tesla with employees.

Before shifts at California’s Tesla plant, local business owners who are in commercial/warehouse districts adjacent to Tesla’s California plant report that there’s always a steady stream of drug-buying line workers buying and using (not weed) right before work.

Knowing Seattle and surrounding areas, I can’t help but think that’s the case there too.

Unless wholesale changes aren’t made to the work force I think it won’t be getting better any time soon.

They may have been so infiltrated by drug using employees that the very ones promoted from floor to line management , to oversight management have their own issues and won’t say anything.

    9. That’s quite literally the entire aviation sector at the moment. Talk about pissing in the wind no one has enough qualified A&P mechanics.

    10. MAF, the main site of the subject workforce, also, has poor leadership.

There’s no repercussions to anything at the site.

There’s a person who was allowed to come back to work after threatening to, “blow their coworkers head off”. He even defended the statement when speaking to the HR woman, reiterating it.

One chick who couldn’t hook up an air hose accepted a position at a site drilling holes in airplanes (not sure of specifics) after being laid off.
