We all know NVDA is gonna crush the earnings beating all the expectations purely by looking at other M7 and tech companies expenditure on AI. But the real question is, how much surprise are we expecting? How much of a revenue boost are we talking here?

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if NVDA falls <5% on the day of earnings call even after crushing the numbers. At this point, we have seen so many Stocks fall on earnings day despite great numbers, citing bullshit reasons. But right next day after earnings call, Good potential stock always shoot up. So what are aiming to load up? NVDA puts or calls?

      Cease this blasphemy![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)

      Calls ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)

    2. Seeing the sheer support for CALLS, Based on **WSB Regards Inverse Theorem**, PUTS it is folks!!!

    3. This is the mistake everyone makes. Same thing with FOMC. They try to predict what’s going to happen. Just wait and see what happens. Take LLY for example. If you waited until the day after earnings and bought calls for Friday, you would have been up over 2000%. Just wait and see what happens.

    4. NVDA options are so pricey. Always. IV through the roof.

Having said that, I’ll definitely buy calls, at a decent strike (say 120-125), and be prepared to lose that money. Market will have its shenanigans of course, and the price might dump. But calls it is for sure.

IF the price runs up to 120-130 before the earnings, then maybe buy a put or two, just to cover the costs to some extent.

They would be looking at guidance.

End on the month might be a “low” anyway so maybe you buy the NVDA news/noise no matter what.

    6. I wouldn’t doubt that they kill it but since the bar is set so high the stock falls back due to more expectations. Still a good long term hold but I’d be careful with playing options on earnings ![img](emote|t5_2th52|12787)

    7. If the price was currently $120 or higher I would say calls are a little more scary but this stock has already seen support at the $130 mark, so I think calls for 10-20% out of the money are relatively safe for earnings.

Past 20 years after a stock split, nvda has dipped, then come back after earnings. I’m guessing this time will be no different. I’d buy calls if I weren’t a poor

The delay of Blackwell could have them sandbagging their forward guidance.

It’s the only real risk imo

im just going to buy a sep call and a sep put and im sure ones going to spike one way after earnings, and the other will be made up over time. either way, i still take advantage of the volatility from earnings.

    11. The official revenue expectation is 28 billion but based on previous beats, every investor is expecting around 30 billion. Anything below this and the stock will tank

    12. What will most likely (definitely) happen is nvidea will not only beat earnings by over 999999 trillion, but they will also announce they have cured cancer. This will cause their shares to go to 85 billion per share and all nvidea shareholders and call holders such as myself will become rich beyond our wildest dreams.

      Nvda earnings don’t matter.

      Their forward guidance does.

If they guide for another revenue increase it’s good but if it’s weak then guh.

    14. Wait wait wait. The most important thing is guidance. Yes they will crush it but that is priced in. If they don’t beat and raise, I see it fall again 5-10%

    15. No_Annual_6059 on

Earning is priced in, NVDA related company already did ER by that end August, it’s going to be all about guidance.

    16. Slightly-Blasted on

Amazon beat earnings and still went down.

Right now is not a logical time in the market. React accordingly.

    17. OnlyFans dropped nudity for a week, maybe NVDA will announce they’re just not making chips anymore. Probably will change their minds later though
