Hi, my gf was driving my car on the highway when traffic came to a halt. She stopped. Car behind her didn’t notice and hit my gf. My gf went to the ER and was told she has whiplash.
My insurance was bare minimum CA and doesn’t cover uninsured / hit and runs. I did not report it.
Fast forward, fast forward, police call me and tell me they found the perp. Individual admitted to it AND had insurance. It is the same insurance company as mine.
What should I be aware of before I reach out to them?
I am in the process of moving (tomorrow) for a multi month work assignment in another state. Does my move complicate anything?
Police caught the person who hit me and ran! They have insurance too!! What now?

Beware, your insurance company is going to want to make you accept responsibility for the accident so they can raise your rates. I guarantee it.
Contact their insurance with case number and file a claim?
