My dad and I share the same name. He got into multiple car accidents and is always the one to file claims, yet the accidents end up on MY record, forcing me to pay way too much for car insurance. My mother and I contacted the insurance company multiple times about the issue but nothing has changed. They are very fixated on leaving the records on my account but they always act like they're going to fix it. My guess is that they are trying to take advantage of my age. I'm 20 years old and I'm sure you know the stigma behind young drivers. Everyone wants to call us immature so I bet the agency doesn't believe I am accident free.

I have 6 false accidents on my record and no matter what proof we present they just don't fix anything. My agency is state farm btw. Some good neighbors.

Insurance company is putting my dad's car accidents onto MY record and refuse to change it.

    1. They’re aren’t trying to take advantage due to your youth.

Do you live together? Are you in the same policy? Have you provided police reports showing different DL numbers. What other, if any, documentation have you provided to dispute the record, other than your word?

    2. A company won’t just decide to put them under your name for no reason.

There is a reason they are being assigned to your name. Either by your father playing games or a mix up of your DL in the system along with your same names.

You have to provide DL proof, proof from the police, etc. it should be extremely easy to prove it wasn’t you driving the vehicle during the accidents.

Guarantee this probably isn’t on the insurance company but you dad instead.
