    1. Nana requested a transfer to hell, she can’t watch 40 years of savings burn like camel shit in the desert

    2. I don’t give a fuck about their factories.

Learn how to create a functioning product first and have 2 consecutive quarters of growing cash flows **before** expanding your business and capital expenditures even more.

    3. Everyone loves shitting on Intel but seems to have forgotten how AMD was almost bankrupt a little over 10 years ago. They sold everything that wasn’t nailed down to just stay liquid. Their stock was less than $2 a share 9 years ago. Today they are $154 a share. If you don’t think a company can turn around, you’re an idiot. Intel still can go down, but they are investing capital at a crazy rate into their future. Will it pan off? Who knows.

    4. yeah, this isn’t really good. this is intel selling off 49% of the fab (and therefore, 49% of its future earnings). so even if they can pull off their turnaround, they’re going to make less $

    5. Yeah, at this rate it’s probably gonna be scheduled for 2030, then delayed to 2033. Just like the other builds/factories.

Intel has already begun separating their foundry business in their financial reporting and plans to utilize TSMC for their upcoming CPUs.

The next logical step could be to sell the foundry business to a Gulf Sovereign Wealth Fund—such as those from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or the UAE—to help finance their own “AI revolution.” This would mirror AMD’s strategy when they sold their GlobalFoundries to ADIA, which provided the capital needed to transform AMD into a top-tier chip company after years of challenges.

By the time such an announcement is made, it may be too late to capitalize on the opportunity.

    7. Not really new news.

Also Intel has to share profits in this deal.

It is a smart move though. Since FABs/infrastructure is the timely and costly part of the business.

Private equity have been making money off infrastructure these days. From green energy, etc.

    8. The new facilities will come online appropriately 36 hours before the AI bubble finally bursts

    9. I thought Ireland was already highly strained on energy consumption. Ain’t no way you just put up an $11billion factory if you can’t turn the light on.

    10. So many regards here thinking Intel is trash. Sure but like the other dude said. Amd was deemed doa not too long ago.

Intel also has a ton of deals to keep themselves relevant with oems. They’re not going away. Management just needs to get on top of the “ai boom”.. then the shit will 3x

In theory I understand the potential upside, and want to gamble. If Intel gets significant new fabs/manufacturing online going there has to be a massive demand since TSMC can’t handle it all.

But they have a lot to fix and then prove first. I’m not sure now is the time. In another year I’ll be looking and reevaluating I think though. If they get their house in order, it could be a banger.

You know, because of all of the anti intel post i bought a small bag and am already in the greens.
SL is set, so idc what it does now. Buy when others are fearful

    13. If there is even an inkling that China will move on Taiwan, Intel will skyrocket.

It may or may not happen but tensions in the strait will have people dump tsm and flock to intel

Maybe he didn’t make the worse trading decision of the year… Maybe this is Nanas will

    15. You’re really posting news from Early June as if its new? ![img](emote|t5_2th52|18630)
