I had a car accident in Toronto where the other vehicle didn't stay on the scene after the accident. There is damage on my vehicle around the front left tire. Upon checking my dashcam, the fault determination is unclear because the impact wasn't captured by the dashcam as the impact happened on the side of my car. Afterwards, I went to the collision center. I can only get 5/7 of the license plate because the video is not very clear.
How should I talk to the insurance company in this situation? What other options do I have other than talking to insurance company?
