You literally cannot make this sh*t up, had a good chuckle. Everyone puts now. Here is the original article from today:
One can say it is a growing concern when people start to switch from empanadas to sausages due to associated costs

Sausage demand behind the Wendy’s dumpster is what matters more for this sub, this is bullish because more people will buy sausages
Have any of you ever ate fucking, SAUSAGE for dinner?

Just dumped my 401k into Grindr (GRND)

Yea especially behind Wendy’s
“You literally cannot make this sh*t up”
No, YOU can’t. I absolutely can. Give me a few days in the writer’s room and I’ll write you a plot that makes sense regarding an increase in sausage demand in a bad economy.
3 minutes, Turkish.
Sausage is cheap meat in hard times because no one knows or cares what animals and parts are actually put in them
The ~~Waffle~~ Sausage House Index
I worked credit underwriting at a credit card processor. Tire retreaders and furniture store bankruptcies are the true bell weathers.
It amazes me that no one has pointed out the real reason why sausage sales are up right now….It’s a real, realllllll simple explanation:
IT’S FUCKING TAILGAITING SEASON!!! People grill the ever loving fuck out of sausages this time of year, it doesn’t mean the economy is in the shitter. CNBC is such trash these days.
Funny thing is I just ate empanadas yesterday. Loading up on calls right now.

Econ 101 – it’s literally the definition of an inferior product, and I consider sausage an inferior product.
>empanadas to sausages
Looks like demographics play a role as well
“Let’s talk about buttered sausage. Where it comes from? What it does? Why is it doing what it’s doing?
You ghey bears know a lot about sausage ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4275)

This reminds me of Silicon Valley where Peter Gregory bought sesame seed futures after getting a fast food burger
HAM FUTURES ARE YOUR PATH TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM
Buttered sausage
You know the economy is fucked when the McRib is back.
The ladies have to make money somehow
I still buy meat. And I still eat out. I am into carne asada street tacos. My wife loves sashimi. We both go for Korean food. Kids love it all.
However, when grocery shopping to cook at home, I rarely buy steak these days. Ground beef, pork spare ribs, pork bellies, ground turkey, eggs, etc. are what I normally buy.
When is demand for my sausage going to grow ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)
I love sausage no matter the state of things. The hell to living past 90.
Lmao these comments are pure gold🤣🤣🤣

Makes sense. They put the unwanted (and therefore cheaper) cuts in there…plus some other garbage chemicals. It’s just basic math: less money to spend = you buy cheaper stuff.
Sausage demand is always high with my ex.
Sausagefest is now a euphemism for recession.
time to bring back pork belly futures at the CME
I almost bought sausages yesterday at Costco but put them back when I saw it was $20 for a pack
So more wieners = puts?
There was a lipstick index before iirc.
Manually ground sausage at a butcher shop is cheap but delicious. I’m guessing they’re referring to mystery meat discounted day past expiry Wal-Mart specials.
>There’s been “modest growth” in the dinner sausage category for one producer, according to the Dallas Federal Reserve’s Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey released Monday. This underscores the trends of shoppers opting for cheaper products and pulling back spending all together as cumulative inflation bites into purchasing power.
Hillshire Farms sausages are still $4 or more for 12oz or 14oz. Store brand is slightly cheaper.
Bears love sausage
The great sausage rush of 2025 is coming and I’m going to retire in 2026.
I thought you meant man’s dick demand goes up lol
Recession here I come! Ladies where ya at

Also fall is when prices for pork drop so more people stock up, I’m about to fill a freezer and my portfolio
Used to sell canned goods and I managed Vienna sausages for a bit – If a hurricane was ever announced we would ship millions of dollars of trucks filled to the brim with all the pallets of Vienna sausages we had on hand ASAP.
Stores would wheel a pallet onto the floor and it would be picked clean in 15 minutes, rinse and repeat.
Had one guy down south in charge of ~10 stores call and buy $5 million of sausages on the spot with no second thoughts, he was a happy man every Hurricane season, and he certainly helped me hit my sales quota.
Big sausage is looking to pump.

So what is good sausage stock?
