I keep hearing online how being insurance advisor etc is usually a scam or one of the worst possible jobs in the finance roles.
I got offered a role for sellling personal lines directly to consumers for home and auto insurance.
They came to my school and showed a proper career trajectory into commercial underwriting.
I just wonder if it is one of those jobs where its sink and swim or is it something with a legit opportunity to move forward.
I looked on linkedin and based on the people they hire it seems like they really hire anybody lol.
I guess I can't complain cause I graduated with no experience etc.
Is Aviva insurance agent a legit job?

It’s a sales job.
That means it’s a real job, but it is very high pressure, long hours, and a huge range between failing miserably and making more money than you’ve ever seen.
If you are interested in sales, I would pick a different starter job. One with more guardrails than direct to consumer production. Auto sales, for example.
I am not telling you to become an auto salesman, because that is also a terribly difficult job.
