I just got outta the military and with them I paid about $35 a month for a $500k policy.
I know the VA offers life insurance but I’m shopping around.
State Farm is my auto insurance and they offered a million dollar policy for about $50 a month for a 10 year policy.
USAA offered me $600k for $110 a month so I’m wondering what the catch is.
How does life insurance work in general? Does my wife take my death certificate to them once I croak and they just say “Damn that sucks, here a cool mil on us”?
State Farm life insurance, how is it?

I would shop around for term life insurance. Essentially how it works is if you die within the 10 year term, your beneficiary receives that amount.
