i have comprehensive insurance and the two other drivers in question have comprehensive on their vehicles/policies. we are going on a 2-week road trip with two vehicles but theirs is a massive RV and i figure there will be situations where we want to keep the RV parked and i want to hangout at the campground while letting one or both of them borrow my vehicle. do i need to update my policy for this? or will they (and me) be covered in the event of an accident?

do I need to inform my car insurance provider of a road trip and potential other drivers?

    1. Them having comprehensive on their policy does nothing for your RV.

Comprehensive is only for the vehicle on the policy.

What you need to find out if the liability on their policy will cover the RV.
