It was an electrical fire that started under the hood. Everything under the hood was destroyed from fire but pretty much everything else from the car is intact. My car was a 2015 Hyundai Tucson. I had that car for about a year and a half and never had any issues with it. I only had liability insurance with progressive but there was a recall for the car which states that a fire could happen. I had no knowledge of the recall since when the recall was issued out I didn’t have the car yet. Should I contact Hyundai customer service about it.

I don’t see why not. Nothing to lose.

But this is the wrong forum. You don’t have the coverage for this loss so you don’t have an insurance question.

Are you sure you didn’t suffer any smoke inhalation? Do you have any PTSD from the situation? If so, be sure to add that to the claim with Hyundai…
