hi guys. I recently got an insurance policy with State Farm and May and everything was going smooth until I got a notice that my insurance was going to be canceled because of lack of documentation from my previous insurer’s underwriting department. I got that under control and I got a notice in the mail that there should be no lapse of coverage and that everything was fine, until today. I got notice in the mail from my state’s motor vehicle department saying that my license is going to be suspended because I don’t have insurance. I’m very confused because that’s very contradictory to what State Farm told me. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do.

    1. Hi there, the state most likely needs a certificate of compliance form submitted by your agent. Contact your agent’s office ASAP in the morning and they should be able to help you.

Call SF, ask them for a letter showing an active policy, then give to the DMV.

When did you get the notice everything was fine? Still have it?
