Last week my friend's car was stolen. On the phone with the adjuster, they were asked if all the keys were in their possession, to which they replied "yes". Later, while looking for the keys to provide proof, they were reminded that the spare hasn't been seen in 3+ years. They've moved states twice since the keys were last seen so there's no chance that this could be related to the theft.

My question is: Can this information be used to deny coverage, and should my friend call their adjuster to correct their statement?
