I bought Progressive auto insurance for 6 months and paid in full $758. By evening I found a better rate from Geico for $550. How I go about cancelling progressive one? How much will they refund? Pls help.

They should refund all or very close to all of it
You will get most of the money back less any minimum earned premium (certain states) or cancellation fee (certain states). When you call to cancel, they can tell you about this and the refund. If it is a same day cancel, it may be considered a flat cancel (as if the policy never happened) for a full refund. Everything is state specific.
They will refund most of it by check.
Check out r/Geico before you do that
Insurance karma will strike. You will get into an accident or Geico will raise the rate right after you cancel or Progressive will charge you a cancellation fee or Flo will come slap you for wasting her agents time or you will get a speeding ticket or your car will get struck by lightning. Either way, just change in 6 months. Ain’t nobody got time for insurance karma.
