We are not perfectly happy with our current insurance at ANPAC and thinking making a change. We’ve been with American National for 25 years and I’ve never evaluated this before. We have cars and a home and a larger umbrella policy. Have got a quote from USAA and thinking about going in that direction. Any thoughts on how to evaluate this? We’re interested in the best and safest insurance at a fair price and not just the cheapest deal. Thanks for any help or recommendations!

    1. You need to look at all coverages on all your policies to make sure you are comparing apples to apples. If they are equivalent and USAA is cheaper then consider switching. USAA is a very highly rate company. Biggest issue I see is peeps just look at final cost and don’t realize cheaper means less coverage in most cases I see.

    2. Consult with a local independent agent, they’ll be able to help explain your coverage and make sure you’re getting an apples to apples comparison.
