We do not have a 401(k) plan, we have a Thrift Savings Plan, which is similar but has some differences. That being said, as long as you’re contributing to your TSP, you will get the matching contributions once you’ve been in long enough. It makes no difference which Funds you distribute your investments into within the TSP.

You have to contribute to the army tsp. It doesn’t matter what find you put it in.

The match only triggers if you contribute to the traditional IRA, you will not see it if the entire contribution is going into a Roth. If you check your LES, you can see the auto match and agency contributions. Hope this helps!
