I am current army ng and PCS to Eglin AFB for eod school. I own a house back in Massachusetts and pay a mortgage but need to live off base down here in Florida as barracks are full of IET kids and guys with less than 4 years in service. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the bah for my home in Mass and get the BAH for an apartment down here in Florida as affording a place here with the mortgage would be almost impossible.

    1. You will only get BAH for your current location. So Florida. Also don’t automatically assume you will get BAH unless you are married. Good luck with school tho. It’s fun.

    2. You will be provided lodging at the training site or will be given a statement of non availability, if they don’t have the beds available, and then will have to find lodging. If you just don’t like being in the barracks then you’ll be paying out of your own pocket.

    3. If your supposed to be in the barracks you won’t recive anything else. Just BaH for your residence in Mass.
