What’s it like working at SIU at your company?

I just graduated with a criminal justice degree and my goal is to work in SIU at a major carrier. However, i’m being told SIU is not longer what it used to be. They don’t focus on assisting authorities with prosecuting dirt bags for insurance fraud. Even in cases of clear and deliberate fraud. Instead they focus more on mitigating costs. If this is true I don’t want to work there anymore. Can someone explain what it’s like working at SIU at your company?
