My truck was stolen and taken to Mexico

13 days ago my truck was stolen out of a parking lot and I have been dealing with insurance to get a claim. They said after ten days it would be considered stolen and we could move forward with the claim. Day 10 rolls around and they said it has been considered stolen and we would be hearing from the total loss department, they never contacted us. Now, 3 days after the theft we get a call from the detective saying it was found in Mexico and is in a Mexican police impound. Does anyone know what happens now? We have no idea what condition the truck is in now. I assume it’s completely destroyed. We really just want this to be considered a loss and they just cut us a check. Can anyone give me some insight on how this situation will turn out?
