I switched to Allstate for my home/auto/umbrella policies last year. After learning more about how limited the contract with Allstate is and hearing some bad experiences with them I’m shopping again.
I have been working with an independent agent. She was able to get me a quote with Auto-Owners, but also recommended I take a look at USAA since I am a member. The two premiums came in at about $500 a year from each other and about $800-1300 more than Allstate.
How do Auto-Owners and USAA compare? The agent I’m working with seemed to think Auto-Owners was slight better but USAA was still a good option.
