Disability and Army Reserve Pay

So, I’m transferring into the Army Reserve at the end of the year once I ETS in December and my Reserves Career Counselor told me there are people in the Reserve while also receiving VA disability compensation. He told me that you can request essentially days off from getting paid for the month by the VA/Disability Compensation.

Example being there’s a 30 day month but I go to drill/BA for two days. He says it’s possible to elect to get paid by the VA for those 28 days and then ALSO receive my drill pay for those two days as opposed to just going to drill for points.

Does anyone know anything about this or how to arrange that and set that up? Or have you ever heard of that? So I don’t just have to drill for points.
