I have just received a recommendation to funding my project. The agency would like to charge the investor 30% higher than what I need. The investor will pay to my account with the full amount, then I'll pay the 30% fee to the agency.

They would like to keep the secrets between us, and want the finders fee paid in crypto.

This thing looks weird. Can somebody advise what could be wrong? Is it a fraud?

    Thanks a lot!

    1. Sounds like fraud because they dont want you to tell the investor… but they also claim that they would find the investor, so shouldn’t they already have a working relationship with them. Either case, the typical market rate for companies that help startups raise investments is 2-5% of the investment raised. 30% is extremely high.
