I don’t get this DEI stuff and why Companies/Americans are so obsessed with it recently. Why introduce bias into candidate selection whether based on skin color, sexuality, gender etc. in the first place? The whole point is everything should be based entirely on merit. Period. You’ll never deliberately or forcefully make everything fair/equitable because ultimately it’ll end up being biased against someone else. This was the whole point of eliminating affirmative action as well.
