Hi everyone, recently I got hit and run from the rear. The driver ran off and I called the police. Luckily I got the liscene plate down and they actually caught him two blocks away.
He was put away in the police car and was kinda tweaking out and yelling.
The next step for me is to submit a claim to my insurance with the police report and their insurance . The only thing I was worried about if there other party will have access to my information. I’d imagine both insurance parties will have to communicate with each other but just nervous about the other guy getting my address and harassment.

They can get a copy of the police report, yes.
You almost never communicate directly with the other driver during a claim, and there should be no access to information but this might vary by state, so I would verify with your insurance when you’re filing.
