OK, so this is my first ever PPM I drove a U-Haul with a trailer with my wife’s car on it and that is how I weighed full and then empty it was just the U-Haul no trailer no car and all my weight tickets show the weight of each axle so you can tell the difference between the U-Haul and the trailer but I just sent it all to TMO and instead of the $9000 that I was expecting they included the weight of the trailer and the car in the difference and are trying to pay me $16,000 and it’s all signed. Should I make sure they understand the difference or is that the actual amount I should be getting paid?

    Overpaid on PPM?

    1. Not normal. Get it resolved sooner rather than later. They should catch this during an audit and they WILL get that money back down the road once that happens. Also read next time and understand to weight without trailer and car next time. Like right when you pick up the U-Haul go get weighed.

    2. You weighed incorrectly. You have to weigh the truck + trailer + car ALL empty, and then weigh truck + trailer + car All full.

You weigh empty at your loosing PDS & full at your gaining one. As mentioned it needs to be U-Haul + trailer + car empty and than all 3 full.

You definitely weighed it incorrectly. If just keep the extra dough until they asked for it back. Id throw it in a HYSA and forget about it until they bring it up.

    5. It’s always a good idea to clarify any discrepancies with TMO. I once had a similar issue and ended up getting paid more than expected, but it was a mistake. Double-check the calculations and make sure they’re considering just the U-Haul. Better to sort it out now than have issues later.
