Hey all. I’m going to be moving from my current duty station soon and heading out to be a recruiter. That said, I currently live on base and as such have my on base housing costs deducted from my check as you all know. That said, I’m looking to apply to rent a house in my future location and when talking to the agent for the company they told me they use Plaid to verify income. My question is this— if they use a third party app to verify income, will I have any issues proving I actually do make enough money to satisfy their 3x rent requirement seeing as BAH shows up as both a pay and a deduction? The lady on the phone was zero help and told me I’d have to show bank statements showing I’m getting enough pay with BAH. But as you all know, I won’t have that for a couple weeks after moving out of base housing.

    Guidance?

You’ll probably need to get a memo from finance stating your BAH rate for the new location to give to the rental agency.

    2. Unless you are moving to an area with much higher BAH that you need to qualify, why not use an LES to prove income?
