How I find influencers for my marketing/management agency.

I’ve been running my own influencer management agency for a little while now and thought I’d share one of my best tactics for finding influencers and building contacts.

I currently manage influencers ranging from 100,000 followers to 10,000,000 followers (mainly TikTok creators). Every day I get loads of emails from businesses trying to pitch their products/services, I filter through these and identify appropriate influencers to partner with them after doing my due diligence and send an email back.

Many of these emails are very low quality pitches and what they tend to do is when sending the email is not bcc people in but just add them to the “to:” section. This of course means that whoever receives the email also sees all of the other emails that have received this. There are usually 100+ emails that I find.

This is incredibly useful to me as I take all of these emails, pop them into ChatGPT, ask ChatGPT to extract only personal emails and not custom domain emails (means the influencer already has management). I then take all of these emails, write an email offering my services (I do more brand deal acquisition and coach than actually individually manage their content). I mention the amount of emails they must receive that offer $$$ per post when they should be getting $$$$ minimum and that some of these offers are just spam.

I get an approx 10 emails back for every 100 I send which express interest. I then take their email, pop it into Google and research them to see if they’re suitable for marketing. Of these approx 3-5 are and I usually end up representing them.
