If I have tailgate damage and want to fix it paying out of pocket when no other car was involved, will my insurance go up? Because I know a lot of shops report to car fax, and I want to know if my insurance will go up even if I don’t file a claim?

if you don’t file a claim, your insurance will not be impacted. carfax is a private company
