Got into an accident about 3 weeks ago when the driver behind me rear-ended me. I only have liability insurance, so I called my insurance they filed the claim for me. The other drivers insurance is Integon and their person called me last week and asked for the details of the accident and provided me with a link to send pictures of the accident to. I did so and when I called the next day, they said that it would take "awhile" before they had an estimate. There is damage on the back and front bumpers because the impact from behind caused me to move forward and hit the car in front of me. We were all stopped at a red light. Basically, I was sandwiched between two cars and the driver that rear-ended me admitted to fault and claimed that her brakes failed.

No adjuster has been sent to my house to look at the damages and she hasn't gotten in touch with me in a week. I plan on calling them tomorrow for an update, but I can tell that they are just slow-playing this.

Has anyone dealt with a situation like this and can advise me on how I should move forward or is there anyone that has dealt with Integon? Please let me know. Thanks.

    1. They aren’t “slow playing” this for any nefarious reason. This is how every insurance company would have to handle this. Since you were pushed into the car in front of you, their insured is responsible for those damages as well. They need to get a full accounting of the entirety of the damages from both of you before they can pay out anything. If they have a policy limits issue, the payout will be divided between the two of you and neither of you will get enough money to fully cover all of your damages. This could take several weeks or more.
