Hey guys, I have a quick question:
I was rear ended and my car was totaled by the other party’s insurance company. The vehicle damage was severe. My medical bills are 11k. The insurance company accepted full liability, I suffered soft tissue injuries, the police report was in my favor and there are no issues with the policy limit (it’s over 100k).
My lawyer was only able to get a 12k settlement after demanding the policy limit. The 12k figure is ridiculously low, absurd and unheard of. He’s also refusing to file a lawsuit. He is demanding that I sign the paperwork and is currently reducing my medical bills to around 3k total. Why he could not even get 20-25k is beyond me. If he fires me, can he still put a lien for 4K?
