Hi,

Looking to get back into options trading, I had some fun trading SPY 2 years ago but blew up the account due to bad risk management and discipline.

What are some active tickers that have contracts 3-4 weeks out that won’t require me to full port my account? Let me know some of your favorites & I’ll check them out. Thanks!

    1. I’m going to say none. put that money in a CD/bond/MF or just buy some shares in a nice stock and sit on it and let it accumulate profit/dividends while you add more funds.

We all know that’s not enough capital to trade properly, but that aside…

Since you already have some experience with SPY you could try MES futures options since MES also tracks the index. They’re relatively inexpensive. Not sure about the margin situation with such little funding, but something to maybe look into.

Bruh. Don’t trade options till you have 100k invested in an ETF, then another 10k to trade with.

    4. I like Palantir, but now that it’s in the SP500 I’m betting that PLTR closes the gap to ~$31 on a pull back, I’ve got a few 10/11 $33/$31 put debit spread contracts. That’ll only cost $0.07 net as of yesterday’s close.

Just wait til your rich to start trading options pleb…Started 3 wks ago with $20 i was willing to lose. Im @ $1,560 trading SPY 0DTE and TSLL which is a 2X leveraged tesla etf. I trade one call/put at a time. I wait for a solid entry, I don’t try to catch the top or the bottom, And if it drops fifteen percent , i’m out. My goal is to Continue clocking bigger gains and smaller losses and overcome the emotions of trading. Paper and real are NOT the same.
