Hi everyone. I started a solar panel cleaning business almost a year ago now and this month has been really slow so I went door knocking today. I get a call from someone saying I left a card at their door and they own a solar panels sales and installation company and wants to subcontract all future solar cleaning to me. Even though he is owner, he wants me to pitch myself to his sales team as they are subs and still run their own teams. Any pointers on how to make myself standout? I'm not getting my hopes up too too much but it could really take my business to the next level. Any suggestions are appreciated. Tia.

Is it possible to find out who these sales managers are and get their contact info? ie email address.
A strategy I used to employ while I was in sales was to send out 1:1 emails to whoever is planning to be in the meeting to intro myself and then also allow them the oppty to ask some questions or get to know your business before the meeting actually takes place. It’s a great way to warm up the audience and breed familiarity.
You can also ask them a simple question or two as to their pain points, collect that data, which you can then address in that meeting.
Sample email:
Hi (name),
I’m Trevorgillete17, founder of solar panel cleaning business and I’m looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the team on (date).
Reason why I’m reaching out: I noticed you’re a sales manager at (company). (address potential pain point that they have that you are able to solve). Does this resonate with you?
What other problems are you coming across, and is there anything specific you’d like for me to address in the meeting?
