Kind of stuck right now, got rear ended yesterday in a dealership loaner as my actual car is at the shop in the dealership. Tried to file claim on the app but obviously the loaner isn’t there. I called the claims department but they have an automated message saying there’s delays due to weather and hangs up automatically. Call my local agent who redirects me to a customer service number that redirects me to the same automated claims message and when I ask for a real person, transfers me to the same agent who again can’t do anything. Is really all I can do is wait? The dealership needs a claim number to proceed, this is just frustrating.
EDIT: was able to make a claim using the other driver’s insurance. Thank you for the helpful comments.

If you got rear ended, the claim should be claim should be with the at fault party’s insurance. Were they uninsured?
You aren’t at fault. File with the other driver’s policy
Little bit of a hurricane right now…so yes, many insurance companies will have a bit longer hold times.
If you can’t file online or with an app, you will need to keep trying via phone.
Any luck with the other insurance carrier? Might be in the same situation with the hurricane.
