I have a federal student loan of $35k for my undergrad and my job has AGI of $34k. I cannot afford the standard repayment plan (10 years) and I want to enroll in IDR plan. My plan is to payoff my student loan debt in 13-15 years and I'd like to put an extra amount towards the minimum monthly payment. It just I dont know which IDR plan would allow that. Can anyone help me decide which IDR plan is best? My goal is to payoff the student debt in 13-15 years and not to go to the route of forgiveness. Thank you…

Which IDR plan should I enroll?

    1. All plans allow you to pay more than the minimum. Currently, access to all IDR plans is paused due to the injunction. You might be better off requesting the extended or graduated plan since you can actually get on those right now. Or you can apply for an IDR plan and then request forbearance.
