Hey fellow entrepreneurs!

We’ve all had ups and downs in our journeys, but I’m curious—what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned that completely changed the way you approach your business? For me, it was learning to delegate and trust others to handle tasks so I could focus on growth.

What’s the BIGGEST lesson you’ve learned as an entrepreneur?

    1. I agree 100%. After you get past the initial hump of generating consistent, meaningful revenue, you become the problem. You may be a great baker and start a business with that, but if you want to push more cupcakes and open more locations you need help. You can only be in one place at a time. Physically and mentally.

Delegation is key, but you know what business owners miss? Creating procedures. It’s the lack of procedures that business owners fall into the trap of trying to get help and conclude that they need better employees. No! You need better systems.

I emphasize that last statement! But only if it’s someone you trust. In my situation, I had an idea for a clothing brand, my friend came along to help the business aspect, he got mad about something I did that was in a gray area of whose job it was, then he took my idea and decided to push forward with MY brand while I’m in basic training even when I was against it.

All this to say, MAKE SURE YOU TRUST THE PERSON. Make sure they are reliable and trustworthy before you actually make any huge decisions. Luckily my situation happened in stage 1 and not something I had put all my time into.

    3. Delegation is key but you need to have thought out and thorough SOP’s and KPI’s in order to really get the most out of delegation. That way the company can grow but in the exact direction that you plan.
