I have been in the service for about a year now and joined with pre-existing debt from college and credit cards ~20k. I'm already in the works to use the SCRA Benefits to help lower those rates.
What I'm most considered about is that I just got hit with 1099 taxes (from jobs I had before I joined) from 2023 and a smaller amount from 2020 that the IRS expects me to pay off now.
I'm looking for advice on who I could contact to help sort out some type of payment thing or offer assistance. I of course would pay off the debt but currently at the E3 rate there's no shot I'm paying off those taxes that are like double monthly paycheck lol (~4k is owed to the IRS)

The IRS offers [payment plans](https://www.irs.gov/payments/online-payment-agreement-application).
Scra won’t help with taxes. I don’t think it help with student loans either.
