Hey folks,

Longtime Chase customer (10+ years) with an excellent history along with a more than adequate credit score. I applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred for the first time ever on 10/01 and was immediately approved. I saw that the new offer of $300 Chase Travel Credit + 60,000 bonus points went live less than 48 hours after my approval. I called Chase today and spoke with a customer service rep (who didn't even know about the new limited-time offer until I told her about it) and asked if it could be extended to my new card considering I was approved this week, have a long history with Chase, I don't even have the physical card in hand yet, and it hasn't been activated. She said no.

I asked to speak with a supervisor and he reviewed my account, found no issues, but then said he was unable to match the new offer because his "hands were tied." I'm really bummed by this considering my lengthy account history with Chase and the fact that my new card hasn't even been used yet.

Has anyone else been able to lobby for Chase to match an offer after being approved? I've seen it happen a few times on here where point offers have been matched/in-branch bonuses have been honored. Anything specific I might be able to say if I call back?

Approved for CSP on 10/01 For Only 60K Bonus Points

    1. You should try 2-3 times more so that a different agent picks up and they might be able to help you.
